External Communication

Cross-organization collaboration, customer communication without a Sharp account, and temporary guest links in Cables.

Communication doesn't stop at your organization's edge — Cables extends securely to partners, vendors, and customers.

Cross-organization collaboration

Collaborate with external partners and vendors in shared conversations. For organizations that trade through Sharp-Marketplace, Cables is the communication channel for deals — quotations sent from Sharp-Marketing can arrive directly in a Cables conversation with the buyer.

Customer communication — no account required

Customers don't need a Sharp account to talk to you. Cables supports customer communication directly, so support and sales conversations happen on the platform without forcing customers to sign up for anything.

For meetings and conversations with external participants, temporary guest links grant time-limited access — a customer can join a video call or a conversation through a link, which expires when it's no longer needed.

Secure at the boundary

External communication follows the same enterprise-grade security as internal messaging: encryption, role-based access control, and administrative oversight of what crosses the organization boundary.
