Platform Integration
Automatic journal entries from business apps, purchase-to-inventory accounting, and API-first integration with the Sharp platform.
Sharp-Accounting's biggest advantage on the Sharp platform: when connected to Business Operation Apps, the books write themselves.
Automatic journal entries from business apps
When a Business Operation App such as Sharp-Hospitality is connected, business events post journal entries automatically — a restaurant sale, a hotel room charge, a supplier purchase — eliminating manual ledger recording entirely.
The operations team works in their app; the accounting team sees accurate, real-time books. Nobody re-enters anything.
Automatic purchase-to-inventory accounting
Purchases flow straight through to inventory accounting: when goods are purchased, inventory and the corresponding ledger accounts update together. Purchase and supplier management can run through Sharp-Accounting or independently in the operation app — either way, the books stay consistent.
Inventory valuation & cost tracking
Sharp-Accounting values inventory and tracks costs continuously, so cost of goods sold and stock value are always current rather than reconstructed at period end.
API-first integration
Sharp-Accounting is API-first, like the rest of the Sharp platform. Beyond the built-in app integrations, its capabilities are available programmatically — enabling custom integrations and automated workflows. Credentials for API access are managed through Cortex, and cross-app workflows are orchestrated in Orchestrator.
Standalone still works
None of this is required. Sharp-Accounting is a complete standalone accounting solution — connect operation apps when you want automation, or run it on its own.
